Roath Park Cardiff

Roath Park Lake is the place where everybody in Cardiff strolls. Some even run around it. The lake is man made and has been here for over 100 years. It's about a mile in circumference, so it's a very pleasurable walk. You see all sorts at the lake - young lovers, couples with their young kids, old people walking hand in hand. It's a wonderful place to 'people watch'.

More wisdom

6a00d8341c0d1053ef00e551cca14288348Just a reminder of the excellent weekly teaching series on Proverbs that's available for download from the All Nations Church site or as podcasts from iTunes. Recorded live, each session lasts a maximum of thirty minutes, with speakers such as Dianne Aubrey, David Shutt, Carol Jones, Rob Sherwin and me. In coming weeks there will be sessions with Terence and Beth Erlenbach, Jonathan Cooper and Lydia Power, as well as more from David Shutt and me. They are proving incredibly popular - and they're free! Be blessed.

The Faith Factor

Faith Some of you ask me where you can get copies of ministry I have brought in various places - thanks, I appreciate it. Here is a link to the Community Church in Huddersfield where I was a couple of weeks ago. I really - really - enjoyed the time there. It had been a number of years since my last visit; I was so blessed to see that the church had grown considerably in numbers, in faith, in the Holy Spirit and in maturity. This message is called 'The Faith Factor'. It's worth having a look at some of the other messages available on this site too: try listening to Trevor Lloyd - excellent stuff.

How to kill Goliath

Sling Dianne and I had a really great time at King's Church Manchester this past weekend. It was really encouraging to be with the people of God there; they received us and the word so openly.

Yesterday morning in the church meetings I spoke on Overcoming Faith: How to kill Goliath; you can listen to it or download it here.

Let everything that has breath...

Gospelpraise ...praise the Lord! Each Sunday morning at All Nations, before the main Meeting, we have a thirty minute Bible study. Right now Dave Shutt and I are doing an overview of the Scriptures. Dave is really switched on in techie things and has an iTalk for his iPod, which allows you to record on it. I just bought one and for the past couple of weeks have recorded the Bible study. Last Sunday was on the Psalms; I thought you might like to listen to it. It's just under 30 minutes long and is about 7mb in size. It will play in Windows Media Player. Just right click and download it.

Richard Anniss at ANC

Ra It was really terrific to have Richard Anniss from King's Church Manchester with us at All Nations yesterday. He brought us an excellent word on our current theme of What kind of people ought we to be? Richard spoke about how our 'me' must become 'us and our 'I' must become 'we', basing his teaching in the very nature of God. I want to recommend most strongly that you download this word and get its truth deep in your heart. Thanks Richard.

What kind of people?

Ready Over the past couple of weeks at All Nations we have had ministry on 2Peter 3. Last Sunday Andrew Caughey spoke powerfully on our being a holy people. Yesterday I spoke on the same chapter and gave four points on the kind of people we are:

1. We live from God's perspective.

2. We are ready for the 'suddenlies'.

3. We look forward.

4. We stay true to the Word of God.

It was an amazing meeting yesterday. When I arrived Andrew said to me that God had spoken to him that I should speak right at the beginning of the meeting; in fact the teaching should be the focus of the meeting. Talk about being ready for the suddenlies! He was right. Throughout the ministry of the Word there was a flowing together of teaching and demonstration - not just by me. If you listen to the word you will hear many voices: people bringing tongues and interpretaions; prophecies; exhortations; people moving in the power of the Holy Spirit as the Body of Christ ministered to itself.

The Ever Increasing Kingdom

You can now download last Sunday's (27th November) message at All Nations. I spoke on Isaiah 9:7 - of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. The Kingdom of God doesn't just last forever; it actually never stops increasing. That continual increase means continual growth; and continual growth means continual change in us. The only way to stay in peace is to keep growing and changing.
